Hugh Reese

Hugh Reese founded DwellAssured with the sole mission to help older adults age at home successfully by giving them a SafeHaven community that meets their everyday needs. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Hugh has spent 43 years in a variety of leadership positions within the United States Navy, private business, and non-profit organizations, including more than 30 years working with older adults. He has worked with older adults both as a volunteer and as a director of numerous non-profits. His volunteer experience includes being a charioteer for his church, a hospice volunteer, a nursing home companion, and a family caregiver. In addition, he has spent time as chairman of the board of numerous non-profits including Episcopal Senior Ministries and Friendship Terrace, Inc., a subsidized low-rent housing complex in northwest Washington DC.

Hugh is a serial entrepreneur having served as the founder and CEO of a real estate affinity group in addition to time spent as a senior executive at The Washington Home and Hospice.

Rachel’s personal and professional experiences have fueled her passion for working with older adults, and their families, to help them age-in-place successfully. In her role as SafeHaven 360 Director, Rachel is responsible for evaluating the needs of DwellAssured members and helping to create a customized SafeHaven 360° Plan™ so they can continue to live independently in their homes.

Rachel is recognized as an aging-in-place leader, built on her 25 years of experience as an occupational therapist, and advanced degree in Occupational Science. She has a clinical background in a wide variety of practice areas across the medical and rehabilitation fields, including acute care, sub-acute and skilled rehabilitation, cardiac, orthopedic, and neurological disorders.
She is a certified aging-in-place specialist with the National Association of Home Builders and a senior safety specialist with Age Safe America. Rachel received her executive certificate in home modification from The USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology and is a certified fall prevention specialist.
